Jackson Wells tossed a four-hitter and struck out five to help the Mounties claim the nonconference win in Lawrence, Kan.

Hayden Seldomridge drove in the lone run of the game with a groundout in the bottom of the first inning. McKayden Templeton led off the inning by reaching base on an error and moved to second when Jay Watson walked. Tanner Strickland’s sacrifice bunt then moved the runners to second and third.

Seldomridge followed with a ground-out to second base to score the run.

LEE’S SUMMIT (MO.) SOUTHWEST 4, ROGERS 2

Lee’s Summit Southwest scored three runs in the top of the first inning thanks to an inside-the-park home run and the Mounties never recovered. Brandon Husted went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in both Rogers runs.
