The Lady Mounties scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 1-1 tie and earn a nonconference win.

Madison Heinle pitched a complete game, allowing an earned run on four hits. She struck out 18 and also drove in a run in the big seventh inning.

Emma Kate Jackson led the Rogers offense, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Jordan Jeffery added a two-run single in the seventh.

Rogers (1-0) scored six runs off Gravette pitcher Cally Kildow, who missed all of last season with an injury. She pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief of starter Bailey Elmore, who allowed an unearned run on just one hit over 5 2/3 innings. Kildow drove in Gravette's lone run with a single.
